Prof. Sherri Adeosun, RN, PhD
President / CEO, Relume Foundation Inc. & Relume Charitable Foundation, Nigeria
Dr. Sherri Adeosun is a public health practitioner, public health consultant, and a registered nurse who has been a mainstay in her field for over 18 years. Her area of research interest includes racial equity, health disparities, public health, communicable disease, COVID-19, pandemic intervention and mitigation, and vaping in adolescents. The doctor has explored all of these areas while she obtained her Ph.D. in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and in her everyday work.
She is currently the Nursing Director for New York City High School Program as well as a former adjunct professor of nursing at LIU. A position that allowed her to have a hand in the development of many future nurses.
In 2014, she was appointed president of Relume Foundation Inc. USA and Relume Charitable Foundation, Nigeria; an organization that she co-founded with her husband Dr. Sunday Adeosun. The many arms of Relume have spread across the Americas and Africa. Dr. Sherri is honored and humbled for the ability to serve in this capacity. Relume was birthed out of a calling Dr. Sherri had to be the extended hand, helping those without. Thousands of communities in New York, Nigeria, and Ecuador have benefited from the successful work that the foundation she founded has accomplished.


Dr. Sunday Adeosun, PhD
Chairman, Relume Foundation Inc. & Relume Charitable Foundation, Nigeria
Dr. Sunday Adeosun is Chairman and co-founder of Relume Foundation. He graduated from Walden University in 2018 with his Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Dr. Adeosun was moved to create the Foundation when he recognized the great need of his home community. He sought to develop and build community collaboration and connect residents in need to vital healthcare resources. Dr. Sunday continues to utilize his years of expertise in the healthcare field and his extensive knowledge of operational management to support the team as Chairman.

Dr. Cheryl Croney, MD
Medical Director, Relume Foundation, Inc.
Dr. Croney is a Graduate of Brown University School of Medicine. She received her Internal Medicine training at Columbia University/Harlem Hospital and a Fellowship in Infectious Disease at SUNY HSCB – Downstate Health Sciences. Dr. Croney has also served as Medical Director of Treatment for Life Center Brookdale Hospital (HIV Medicine), Director, Gotham FQHC ENY – East New York, Brooklyn, and as Director, Infectious Disease at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn.
As Medical Director to Relume Foundation, she guides our healthcare and education outreach specifically in the communities of Jamaica and Far Rockaway, New York. Her valuable leadership over the past eight years has given Relume a notable advantage in meeting the needs of a diverse population.
Dr. Croney has been a trusted professional voice during the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate her medical expertise and dedication to Relume as we advocate and serve on behalf of our community.

Ms. Natasha Ferguson
Treasurer / Secretary, Relume Foundation Inc.
Natasha is an integral member of Relume serving as our Treasurer and financial advisor. She is a certified Rehabilitation Counselor and has worked as a probationer and caseworker. She has 20 years of experience as a teacher for the New York City Dept of Education. Her professional background includes a B.A. in Psychology and Communicative Disorders from Buffalo University and a Master of Science in Education and Rehabilitation Counseling from Hunter College.

Mr. David Aitanun
Secretary, Relume Foundation, Inc.
David Aitanun is a certified administrator, theologian and graphic design consultant. Strong background in ministry administration, Artiste Management, Pastoring and Public Relations with over 15 years of industry experience. His primary responsibilities include growing organization processes, building improvement plans, idea transformation, purposeful design creations, developing awareness and educational visuals that resonates with corporate needs and market. Experience in various organizations from Education, Health, IT and Hospitality that has opened up opportunities to acquire excellent management, critical thinking, communication and mentoring skills.
He earned a diploma degree in Computer Science. Advance Diploma in Administration from ICSA, London. With that are other professional certifications in Leadership. He has previously worked in a Ministry and as a PR Consultant. Presently a team lead at Relume Charitable Foundation, Nigeria.
Outside the office he can be found supporting awareness campaigns, volunteering in missions and active in helping brands build their brand presence. These are part of his ways in making meaningful contributions back to the society.

Mrs. Florence Weideman
Chief Operating Officer, Board Member, Relume Foundation Inc. & Relume Charitable Foundation, Nigeria
Florence is Board Member at Relume Foundation. She has volunteered and worked at Relume since its conception in 2014. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Journalism from Macaulay Honors College. Florence is happy to help her community by working with Relume to empower its residents with free educational and healthcare services.

Ms. Simisola Adeosun
Board Member, Legal Liaison, Relume Foundation, Inc.
Simisola Adeosun is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from St. John's University. With a passion for international law she is starting her path towards law school. She has a goal of reaching and leaving a lasting global impact through advising, counseling and representing individuals, orgnanizations, non-for-profits and government entities. This goal was easily transferable to the work done alongside The Relume Foundation. Starting as a volunteer within the ranks Simisola has played a vital role in the creation of the various missions within this organization. Now as the official Creative Director she is able to truly flourish and make waves within the foundation. She is deeply honored to play a part in the cultivation of the resilent, loving, hardworking and passionate nature of The Relume Foundation.
